Mahua Moitra calls the BJP MP's insult of Rahul and Sonia Gandhi as

Mahua Moitra, a member of the Trinamool Congress, criticized Sanjay Jaiswal for labeling Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi "person born to a foreign woman" on Tuesday, calling it "sick and perverted."

“Person Born To A Foreign Woman Can Never Be a Patriot, says BJP MP. This is so sick & so perverted at so many levels. Saffron sickos always thought this but sad to see it being legitimised by @BJP. This is not Mahua supporting RG, Godi Media. It’s Mahua defending decency,” Mahua Moitra wrote on Twitter.

Jaiswal stated earlier in the day that "a person born to a foreign mother can never be a patriot" in response to Rahul's controversial statement regarding the "Modi surname," adding that Chanakya said so 2,000 years ago.

BJP member Pragya Thakur attacked Gandhi earlier this month with a similar comment. A boy born to a foreign woman cannot ever be a patriot, according to Chanakya, and Rahul Gandhi showed this to be true, according to the Lok Sabha representative from Bhopal.

Rahul Gandhi lost his right to serve as an MP on Friday as a result of a Surat court finding him guilty of criminal defamation for remarks he made about the Modi family prior to the 2019 general elections. Gandhi had questioned how "all thieves have Modi as the common surname" during a rally in Kolar, Karnataka.

The ex-Congress MP received an eviction notice to leave his 12 Tughlaq Lane home, where he had been living in since 2005, on Monday. A disqualified MP is given a month to leave a government home and is not permitted to do so under the rules. Gandhi said, "I shall, of course, abide by the details in your letter, without prejudice to my rights," in response.
